ABOUT MATT

I am a stickler for habits and processes. The only thing I love more than a good routine is constantly improving a good routine. For me, it all starts at 5:08 AM when my alarm goes off, and it continues into the workday, as I always look for new ways to improve the quality of our services and our clients' experience. I am a huge believer in constant, everyday growth and advancement, and in the value of striving for excellence. As someone else said, but as I can poorly paraphrase, if you are not striving to be the best at what you're doing, then why are you doing it? I believe Pappas Gibson exists to be the best possible firm for the clients who need our assistance. That combination of focus and dogged determination is what really sets our firm apart. And it's that approach, together with a genuine love of client service, the law, and writing, that make practicing law so enjoyable and rewarding. I really cannot imagine doing anything else, with the possible exception of writing children's books.

In terms of what I've actually written (and pardon the shameless segue), my work has been published by the American Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, Columbus Bar Association, and Columbus Parent. I am also a frequent speaker on estate planning and asset protection topics.

While I love being in the office, nothing beats coming home. I live in Granville, Ohio, with my wife, our three kids, and our two dogs. When I'm not pulling my weight around the house by doing dishes and preparing meals, you can find me playing outside with my kids, landscaping, or in over my head on some sort of home improvement project.
