What's preventing you from doing your estate plan? If you're like most people, two of the biggest issues are (1) finding the time to meet with an attorney during regular office hours, and (2) the cost, which, depending on where you go, can be unpredictable and/or expensive.
Now, those issues are out the window. On March 14, 2018, at 7 PM, we will be hosting an estate planning workshop. At the beginning of the event, participants will be given a blank questionnaire. We will then go through the various documents, decisions, and options involved in an estate plan. As we progress, you will have the basic information necessary to complete the questionnaire and make informed decisions about your estate plan. At the end of the event, you can hand in your completed questionnaire, and we will send completed documents to you within 7-10 days of the meeting. The documents will also include a letter that summarizes everything, as well as instructions for your beneficiary designations.
What you get, then, is the opportunity to do your estate plan at a reduced cost and at a convenient time, all while still having the chance to ask questions and have your estate plan done by an actual Ohio estate planning attorney.
Speaking of costs, the fee to participate is $400 for individuals or $600 for married couples. Please note that the last day to sign up is February 28, 2018.
And speaking of the attorney, the workshop will be run by Matt Gibson, the managing partner of our firm, who has extensive background in estate planning and works on over 300 estate plans per year. Matt's full bio can be found here.
The location will be somewhere in the northern Columbus area, with the exact location TBD once we know the exact number of participants.
If you would like more information or like to sign up, you can reach Matt Gibson at 614-792-7900 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
