what the bullet points left out:

Growing up in Northeast Ohio, I learned at a young age the value of hard work and loyalty. I watched my dad pour his soul into a local Cleveland concrete business for 30 years, a place he hoped to retire. But the recession changed those plans. Suddenly my dad found himself without a job and without a lot of answers. I was in my first year at Ohio State when that happened, and I learned in those days and weeks the true value of hard work and loyalty. My dad found a new job within a few months, and did so based upon his reputation as a loyal “whatever-it-takes” employee. I like to think I’ve carried those same traits with me as a first generation college student, the first in my family to go to law school, and with me every day as an attorney at Pappas Gibson.

I joined Pappas Gibson in the spring of my final year of law school. I had previous experience at Littler Mendelson, one of the largest labor and employment law firms in the world. But I immediately realized Pappas Gibson felt different. It didn’t just feel like a corporate “team.” The firm felt like family. And I think being a close, tight-knit family is in large part why we are able to provide the kind of preeminent legal work and client service that our clients deserve. Or more aptly, “It is certain my Conviction gains infinitely, the moment another soul will believe in it.”
